BANGKOK - American actor David Carradine has been found dead in a hotel room in the Thai capital Bangkok, where he was filming a new movie. He was 72.
It is not clear how the actor died. He was best known as the star of the 1970s U.S. television series Kung Fu and his film roles in the revenge drama series Kill Bill, Volumes One and Two, released in 2003 and 2004.
Carradine’s starring role as Caine in Kung Fu won him Emmy and Golden Globe nominations and introduced many television viewers to Asian martial arts and Chinese philosophy.
Carradine was a member of a Hollywood acting dynasty that included his father, screen and stage actor John Carradine, and his brothers.
